For over 100 years Petersville Farmers Club has hosted a thrilling jousting tournament that draws spectators of all ages. Contestants gallop their mounts at full speed down an 80 yard track towards suspended rings they must spear with a lance.

Laurie Calhoun started Foxie G when she became aware of a need to rehome thoroughbreds when their racing careers were over. Foxie G plans to start a program providing healing services for vets, at-risk youth and first responders.

Riding is Fun is the motto of Paradise Stables! The beautiful barn surrounded by lush paddocks gives the impression of a true horse heaven! Paradise is introducing a program teaching life skills to military, first responders and other at-risk groups.

This program began in 1984 and provides a safe and positive horseback riding experience for disabled citizens in Frederick County. Learning basic riding skills can help riders physically and encourages emotional well-being.
