Mid-Shore Fishing Club Invasive Species Tournament 

March 1 - December 1

Sponsored by the Mid-Shore Fishing Club of Maryland, anglers target blue catfish and northern snakehead inside the boundaries of the Eastern Shore. Payouts are awarded for the most fish and largest fish.  Find more information here!

 

Bay Bridge Boat Show

April 12-14

Climb aboard a wide array of powerboats of every style and size – from fishing boats and trawlers to pontoon boats and luxury cruisers. With plenty of on-site parking available, food and beer stations and live entertainment, the Bay Bridge Boat Show is guaranteed to be a great day on the Bay. Click here to learn more!

 

Sharptown Catfish Tournament 

April 13

Weighing thousands of pounds in blue catfish in recent years, the annual Sharptown Catfish Tournament returns this April. For $100 per boat (or kayak) with a four-person limit, anglers depart from Cherry Beach before sunrise to compete for cash prizes.  Want to participate? Click here to find out more!

 

Benedict Volunteer F.D. Outdoor Extravaganza

April 13

The Benedict Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD) out of Charles County hosts their inaugural Catfish Tournament on April 13. It will include weigh-ins at the firehouse, where fishing, hunting and outdoor equipment vendors will also be set up. Cash prizes will be available for the heaviest five-fish total and single fish for boat, kayak and shore categories. Click here to find out more!

Eric Altemus Memorial Catfish Tournament

June 8

Supporting a great cause, awarding cash prizes and benefiting multiple local organizations, the Eric Altemus Memorial Catfish Tournament in Chesapeake City will be a great event with fun for all ages. The tournament will be held on June 8 at Safe Harbor Bohemia Vista. Learn more here!

 

Pounding on the Pocomoke Fishing Tournament

June 22

Snakehead fish and blue cat are killing and displacing our native species! To educate the public on these invasive species and help get some out of the Pocomoke River, Worcester County is hosting a fishing tournament at Byrd Park in Snow Hill to target these bad guys. Back at the weigh-in, there will be music, food, beverages, and many local fisheries experts with all the scoop. The public is welcome to the weigh-in! Carroll County Catfish Shootout

July 12

Carroll County’s Recreation & Parks hosts their Catfish Shootout on July 12 at Piney Run Park in Sykesville. Fishing is allowed from piers, shoreline or boat. Rental boats are available on a reservation basis for anglers who want to cover more ground on Piney Run Lake. Find out how to get involved here!

 

17th Annual BRRC Larry Farinetti Catfish Tournament

September 7

Due to this year's DNR rockfish regulations, BRRC has shifted its annual event to a Catfish Tournament!  Prizes, tournament rules, after-party, etc. will all remain the same.  More details to follow! Click here to learn more!

 

Sharptown Catfish Tournament

October 26

This year's Catfish Tournament will take place at Cherry Beach on October 26 from 6:00am to 3:30pm.  There are cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The entry fee is $100 per boat (4 anglers).  Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase. Click here to learn more!
