Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse

The Thomas Point Shoal Light is a National Historic Landmark in the Chesapeake Bay. Built in 1875, it is the most recognized lighthouse in Maryland. It is the last screw-pile lighthouse still in it's original position and being used for navigation.

Todd’s Inheritance Historic Site

The Maryland militia used the house as a lookout post during War of 1812, Battle of North Point, Sept. 12-14,1814 and was burned by British. Existing house rebuilt 1816. Now a museum and interpretive site.

Deep Creek Lake State Park

West of the Eastern Continental Divide and within the Mississippi River watershed, the park is home to black bears and wild turkeys. One mile of shoreline along Maryland's largest lake, has public boat access ramps.
